About Our Worship Services...
God’s Spirit encourages us to know Him better and grow in faith. We believe that life’s greatest joy comes from a love relationship between God, our creator, and each of us, His created. Worshipping God strengthens that relationship. Our vision at Immanuel is to provide excellence in worship to help you draw closer to God. We offer you opportunities for weekly worship, Bible-based messages, and encouragement through the arts
The weekend services include the opportunity to confess our sins to God and hear that He forgives us because of His great love for us. The same sermon is shared at each weekend service, with music selected to support the message. A cry room is convenient for the littlest worshippers, and at the Sunday 9:15 a.m. service a staffed nursery for crawling to three years old children is available. Enjoy an after-Sunday-service coffee-and with us; meet other worshippers, ask questions or just enjoy some refreshments. Our ground floor worship area is handicapped-accessible, with amplification devices for hearing-impaired. Signing is available upon request.
Encouragement through the Arts
Children’s Choirs (singing and handbells) and Bands...School choirs grouped by grades sing periodically at worship services during the school year. The music selections and instrumentation fit the grade groups, and always adds hope and joy to the message. Occasionally a band or a handbell choir will also complement the services.
Adult Choirs “Immanuel Ringers” and “Immanuel Singers” – With selections that range from formal traditional to well-known current pieces, the choirs enhance the worship experience. The “Ringers” ring periodically while the “Singers” sing at both early Sunday services frequently and at special services (e.g., Easter and Christmas concerts).
Contemporary “Praise” Band/ensemble – Support the 10:45 a.m. service with instrumentation (mostly guitar), singing and worship leading. The contemporary selections support the service’s message and informal style. Instrumentalists e.g., woodwinds, strings, brass, percussion, play solo or as small instrumental groups, accompany the worship singing and give another dimension to our worship of our Creator.
Concerts – Benefit concerts offered periodically feature talented artists providing Christian and classical offerings in a wide variety of styles.
